Boat damage again

BOAT damage seems to be becoming a regular reason/excuse to cover a stoppage.

This is again the reason given for a closure, Keith Gudgin reports.

Boat damage

This time it is Stanstead Lock 5 on the Lee Navigation that is closed "due boat damage". How a boat has caused the damage or which gate it is is not told.

But it is awaiting an assessment. Yet surely if it is 'boat damage' the assessment must already have been made...

All rather strange.
