Still no waste disposal point at Stone

THE new disposal point for waste at Stone on the Trent & Mersey Canal was due to be opened today, Wednesday, 3rd.

But unfortunately Biffa, that is proving the service, is experiencing delays, Keith Gudgin reports.

Earliest can be delivered

So now the earliest the bins can be delivered and available for boaters is Friday 12th July.

No reason is given by Biffa for the delay, only that the bins cannot be delivered on the date promised.

This new compound was installed as the owner of the previous refuse disposal point at Stone withdrew his property for use for refuse.
