Is this the missing dredger?

THERE has been controversy recently concerning the dredging of locks supposedly along the Trent & Mersey Canal.

It was widely published when Dallow Lock at Burton was dredged but then nothing! We visited the locks from Dallow up to Alrewas and Keith Gudgin cruised those down to Fradley, but no sign of any dredging anywhere.

Tell us nothing

And the many boaters we questioned who were cruising the area could tell us nothing.

But now Keith tells of a workboat and crane working tomorrow, Thursday, to dredge debris caused by the flooding Trent that has accumulated at Bridge 45G on the waterway at Alrewas.

So is this the missing dredger.  But what about those locks that we were told were being dredged?
