A quick repair at Holme Lock

A FAULT with its operational pedestal yesterday, Wednesday, has made Holme Lock inoperable.
This means the Trent is closed at Colwick lock, Keith Gudgin reports.
Canal & River Trust give the reason as a 'structural failure', stating its engineers will be on site today to investigate further. Initial findings indicate that it may be closed for the next two days.
LATEST—Engineers attended the lock this morning, Thursday, and Holme Lock is operational again.
