Unsafe life jackets

BOATERS who purchased a Seago life jacket manufactured between 2005 and 2007 are being told to return them for checking as they could be unsafe.

The 150N and 175N life jackets,  including Seago Junior life jackets need to be checked.  These are in addition to those manufactured in 2008, that have already been recalled, Alan Tilbury relates.

The life jackets affected by both recalls all bear the following manufacturing dates: IV/05, I/06, II/06, III/06, IV/06, I/07 and II/07, which are printed on the reverse of white labels  found sewn into the life jacket below the inflation system.

Retailers are being told to inform customers who purchased these life jackets to stop using them, remove the gas cylinder and return them.
