Body pulled from Coventry Canal

A MAN'S body has been pulled from the Coventry Canal.

The body was discovered near the canal basin in the city around 8am last Thursday morning, Roger Fox reports.

Emergency services called

The emergency services were called to the scene with the man being pulled out of the water.

He was confirmed dead at the scene, with his death at present being treated as 'unexplained'.

Police are currently investigating with various enquiries underway including questioning those at nearby premises and boaters moored at the basin.
