Leeds & Liverpool gets worse

NAVIGATION on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal has been cut back even more today, Monday.

In addition to the six major flights that are closed Canal & River Trust have now closed the canal between River Lock (1) in Leeds and
Newlay Top Lock (13).

Minimal water supply

This it tells is due to minimal water supply into the canal and will be closed at 7pm this evening with the lock gates locked off and sealed.

The evening stoppage is to allow time for boaters to leave the restricted area before the navigation is closed.
