The Cox definitely in the lead

OUT of action yet again the Coxhead Swing Bridge (20) on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal is certainly in the lead.

For those of you not in the 'know' there is somewhat of a competition between it and the Winkwell Swing Bridge on the Grand Union that too is often on the 'blink', Keith Gudgin reports.

But it is the Coxhead that is out of action again, this time with barrier problems, that need repairs.

However, the trust's contractors have been informed and are expected to be on site and the bridge quickly back in action.
