No reason given for lock closure

OLD Ford Lock (19) on the Lee Navigation is closed until further notice.

So states the stoppage notice but no reason whatsoever is given for its closure, Keith Gudgin reports.

The only information is that it was closed yesterday, Wednesday, until further notice.

Told nothing

Usually a reason is given for any closure, with such as heel post failures being usual ones recently, but this time we are told nothing, so perhaps this is a new policy of not informing of the reason for failures.

However, we are told that team will investigate and repair.
