Calder & Hebble lock failure

THE Calder & Hebble Navigation is closed at Elland with an hydraulic sluice failure.

Woodside Mills Lock was closed on Monday due to the failure of the nearside upstream hydraulic sluice, Keith Gudgin reports.

Engineers en route

This prevents navigation through the lock 'until further notice' our being informed that engineers are en route to assess the situation.

However it is now Wednesday and no intimation concerning the situation.
