Narrowboat burnt out

A NARROWBOAT was burnt out early yesterday morning (Wednesday) at Hemel Hemstead on the Grand Union Canal.

Two fire engines attended the scene, which was near the Fishery Inn by the side of the canal, with a boater being rescued and led to safety away from the blaze.

This happened at around 1.30am, with the blaze quickly doused.  As yet the cause of the fire is unknown.
