The Big Draw

SOMETHING new at the Canal Museum at Stoke Bruerne—the Big Draw.

Everyone is invited to draw, doodle, scribble, paint or just make meaningful marks, to become an artist for the day at Stoke Bruerne on Wednesday 30th October. Excuses such as “I can’t draw” will just not be accepted!

BigDrawBring you imagination

People are being invited to come along to the Canal Museum and take part in the Big Draw.  There will be a local artist on hand to help you at this free event, taking place between 11am and 4pm. All materials are provided—you just need to bring your imagination!

There’s plenty to inspire every budding artist, young and older, along the canal with its historic buildings, bridges, locks and boats.

'Drawn to Life'

The activity day, with the theme ‘Drawn to Life’, is being organised by the Stoke Bruerne Canal Partnership in conjunction with the Canal Museum and sponsors The Inland Waterways Association’s Northampton Branch, Stoke Bruerne Boat Company and South Northamptonshire Council.

This is all part of the world’s biggest drawing festival, a month-long creative project that gets people drawing in public forums, with galleries and museums across the globe taking part.  For satnav users, it's NN12 7SE.
