Reduction in anglers

I TOO, have noticed the reduction in the number of anglers on the towpath although it does not cause me the same concern as it does Mark Lloyd, writes Graham Booth.

My attitude has always been that I would not like to be pulled in to the canal on the end of a piece of rope so I don’t see why I should pull a fish out of the canal on the end of a fishing line.

An ill wind

I would guess that the decrease in the number of anglers is, in part, due to the increase in the number of cyclists. As they say—It’s an ill wind...
