Over double visits as National Parks!

THE Canal & River Trust claims to have double the visits per year to the waterways compared to all of the National Parks of the whole country put together!

Our Ralph Freeman has calculated every single one of the country's estimated National Parks visits, and finds that at a overall total of 172.45 millions, it makes the Trust's claim of 380 millions to its waterways alone more than double that of the National Parks!

Included Wales and Scotland

The National Parks not only include those of England, but such as the Brecon Becons and Snowdonia in Wales and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs in Scotland!

The Trust's figure really should go in the Guinness Book of Records—as the most exaggerated statistic in the country!
