Narrowboat drugs raid

ACTING on information, police raided two narrowboats on the Thames seizing a quantity of cannabis and a weapon.

The narrowboats were moored by Folly Bridge in Oxford when the police pounced, not only discovering cannabis but the means of producing quantities, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Arrested

The 28 years old boater from one of the boats was arrested after admitting possession of a Class B drug.  The weapon was a blade.

The man was later released after being given a fixed penalty notice.
