Boaters raise money

THE generous boaters at Lemonroyd Marina near Castleford on the Aire & Calder Navigation recently raised £117 for Cancer Research UK.

This was the result of a social week-end organised by British Waterways Marinas Ltd, with Head of Retail, Rod Grant, explaining:

"Boaters have a proud history of fundraising, and the event at Lemonroyd, this year, was no exception."

Lemonroyd Marina is perfectly situated for exploring the river navigations of Yorkshire, and offers moorings for up to 85 boats including narrowboats, wide-beams and canal cruisers.
