Email: help to build bridges

Published: Wednesday, 16 December 2015

I can but agree with Martin Brooks on his suggestion about using this time of year to build bridges, but it needs some help.

There is very much in the news these days about how cyclists are taking over our towpaths, and though certainly not all, some are taking it as their own domain and woe betide anyone who gets in their way be it human or animal.

The only way we can even have the slightest chance of building bridges is by Canal & River Trust stepping in and sorting it all out, and until this happens bridges will not be built.  The Trust must 'grasp the nettle' and enforce a sensible speed limit and construct means of it being enforced, then bridges can be built.
