Building bridges

WITH Christmas looming, surely this is the time to build bridges between the various factions that use the waterways and their towpaths. So what is your suggestion? Here is the starting it off from our contributor Martin Brooks.

Here is my Christmas thought to the boating community. We need to build bridges with the angling fraternity, and recognise that we have a mutual problem and can help each other.

Slowing Strava

How about, when using their favourite Strava designated stretches, the Lycra louts were to keep finding mile long fishing matches, with long poles and equipment strewn everywhere?

I'm sure that the anglers would be happy to oblige, especially if supported by the local boaters (cups of tea, toilet facilities etc), and it would help to build a happy rapport between boaters and anglers.
