THERE is a a combination of a national brokerage firm and a new marina combining as a new facility selling new and used boats in the East Midlands.

White Mills Marina at Earls Barton on the Nene has combined with the national brokerage firm Boatfinder Brokerage  to provide a sales facility for new and used boats.

Virtual marina

Though based in Cheshire, Boatfinder Brokerage specialises in selling boats wherever they are based in the UK. With a unique 'virtual marina' DVD which includes professional video footage of every boat that is on brokerage, and now with Boatfinder, potential buyers can now call into White Mills to either view the 'virtual marina', or view boats that are for sale and being moored there.

For boaters wanting to sell their boats, then they too can be sold through White Mills Marina, allowing potential purchasers to not only view the boats in situ at Northamptonshire's newest riverside marina on the Nene, but also secure a mooring at the site.

The marina

With its 141 berths, work on White Mills Marina began in July this year and is due to be completed by mid November in time for the winter moorings season. Throughout the summer the marina has hosted a series of open weekends, and already around 10 percent of berths have been reserved by boaters wanting to be part of the new White Mills Marina community.

Being on a river the marina will have safe floating berths and have all facilities.

The next milestone for the marina will be when the developers of the site Land & Water Services cut through to the Nene towards the end of October.
