Another gate failure

IT'S THE Grand Union Canal again, this time Lock 12 on the Buckby Flight below Norton Junction.

The flight is now closed, with no access between locks 7 to 13, with Lock 12 that has a structure failure, Keith Gudgin tells us.

Canal & River Trust gives no intimation as to the seriousness of the situation, so there is no indication of any date when the lock will be repaired.

Boaters are advised not to pass either below Norton Junction or above Wilton Marina.

Repaired in July
