Fair description

I think Eric Weiss (Bargees collision course with CaRT) has summed things up very well there, writes Martin Brooks.

I used to always take the side of liveaboards, and likewise the NBTA, and I am still not a fan of CaRT.

Fair description

Recently, though, I was shown pictures taken on my friend's cruise through London, and Calcutta floating shanty town is a fair description!

Because I no longer cruise, I had not seen how bad the problem is becoming. The canals are now full of people who have no interest in the waterways except as cheap housing, and the traditional boat dwellers are being squeezed out!

If we don't want the waterways to end up as a linear tower block, than CaRT must act quickly and decisively!
