Cyclist fined for speeding

A cyclist speeding at 41mph was 'clocked' by officers and fined that together with costs totalled £150.

It was however in Richmond Park and not on a towpath where instead such speeding cyclists, as we now all know will instead be 'educated'.

Twice the speed limit

Rory Palmer, admitted at speeding at twice the speed limit of 20mph in the park, at 41mph on the 2nd January this year, where he was passing moving vehicles at speed, Roger Fox tells us.

It was park officers using a speeding measuring device that caught him, and he subsequently pleaded guilty at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court yesterday, 10th March where he was fined £65, issued with a surcharge of £20 and ordered to pay costs of £65 to the Crown Prosecution Service.
