More Leicester Section closed

THE way that the Environment Agency is operating with the pollution on the Leicester Section is causing water levels to fall and further pounds to be closed.
The waterway is now closed for navigation all the way from the incident at Kibworth to Kings Lock as water levels are dropping, Keith Gudgin tells us.
11 miles
The waterway is now closed for 11 miles from the actual scene of the pollution, towards Leicester, with the Agency seemingly lacking control.

We are told the navigation will open today, Saturday 17th January as the pollution is at an acceptable level.
