Trip boats cruise vouchers

A GOOD idea by the Chesterfield Canal Trust to fill it trip boats and help swell its funds, is cruise vouchers.

They now cover all four of its boats, and would make a good Christmas present, and are available from all the usual outlets, plus the Chesterfield Visitor Information Centre, and can be bought online.

Different denominations

They are available in three different denominations that can be combined, these vouchers are valid for full or part payment on any of the public trips including Easter and Santa trips on all four of the boats they operate—the John Varley in Chesterfield, Madeline at Hollingwood, Hugh Henshall at Worksop / Kiveton and Seth Ellis at Retford.

There are only a few seats left on the Santa Specials which are running from Chesterfield, Hollingwood Hub, Shireoaks, and Retford right up to Christmas Eve.

New Year's Day

On Thursday 1st January, the John Varley will be doing its traditional New Year's Day six hours cruise from Tapton Lock, up into the river, then all the way down to Staveley Town Basin and back again. £25/£20, which includes a meal at Hollingwood Hub. For bookings, ring 01629 533020.
