Bridge needed attention

The photograph by Mike Todd of the failed abutment of Bridge 215 on the Oxford Canal certainly shows that work was needed.

Sending his photograph that was taken on 2nd July this year, Mike related:

Suffered significant damage

"It was not intended to help analyse this particular failure but it does tend to suggest that the non-bridge abutment has suffered significant damage whether from boaters or the weather is not possible to tell just from a photo. Perhaps others should also await a proper technical report!

The brickwork below the bridge itself also seems to have been struck."
