Another closed

YET ANOTHER waterway is closed through lock failure, this time the Birmingham & Fazeley.

CaRT tell us that the collar holding the lock gates has snapped on Farmer's Bridge Lock 12 top gate, on Farmer's Bridge Flight (pictured) in Birmingham, leaving the gate inoperable, so the waterway is closed, Keith Gudgin tells us.

Falling off

Keith adds that it must be Autumn already as all the locks seem to be falling off...

There is no intimation as to when the waterway will be reopened.
