Urge to get the Llangollen repaired

THERE is great urge to get the Llangollen 'significant leak' repaired.

Contractors have now arrived at the site with plant and are working hard to restore navigation as soon as possible, Keith Gudgin reports.

The reason of course is that the waterway supplies Hurleston Reservoir (pictured) with drinking water over a large catchment area.

It will prove to be the quickest 'significant leak' repair ever under the trust, with none of the silly reasons given for delays, but the workers getting stuck in without such delay.

The navigation remains closed from Bridge 50 to Bridge 46 on the canal. The Prees Branch has reopened.
