New Stone Refuse Disposal Point

A NEW Stone Refuse Disposal Point has been identified on the Trent & Mersey Canal.

However it is in a conservation area, so it can take two to three months to secure planning permission.

It was way back on January 19th that the bins at Stone were temporarily removed, as the owners of the land didn't feel able to continue with the bins in the current location.

A well used facility

As a well used facility in a busy location, Canal & River Trust have been attempting to locate a new location, that it has now achieved. It is now a matter of waiting for the planning permission and then the construction of the facility.

We are not told of the exact location of the new facility only that it is in the Stone area and by the side of the Trent & Mersey Canal.
