A YOUNG boy fell into Hull Marina yesterday (Saturday) but was rescued by his father who dived in.
He fell into the water between the jetty and a narrowboat, that it is understood he was attempting to board.
Concrete jetty
His father held him out of the water whilst others helped the boy up and made sure the boat was not allowed to come back to the concrete jetty, otherwise he could have been crushed.
A picture published in the Hull Daily Mail shows that the boat was not tied close to the jetty, leaving a gap in which the boy fell.
