WE HAVE received a message from Leicester Police concerning the disappearance of 22 years old Josh Cotton from his boat The Spirit that is moored on South Bank of Sawley Marina:
Josh has lived here on his boat for about a year, and was last seen by a fellow boat owner at 4pm last Friday 11th March. He was reported missing to us by a member of his family on Sunday morning, since which time we have been conducting a major investigation in a bid to trace him.
We have searched his boat, the area around and underneath his boat and a 15m radius of the marina from his boat. We have also spoken to a number of residents at the Marina, as well as staff; but we know that there are many members who do not live on their boats and who may still be unaware that Josh is missing but have vital information about his whereabouts.
We need to hear from anyone who has seen Josh in the days leading up to his disappearance last Friday, do you have any information about where he may be, or do you know anything about Josh which could be relevant to explain his disappearance?
We are also keen to build up a picture of his routine, his interests, and we need your help in adding to that picture.
If you can help us in any way, please contact Leicestershire Police on 101.
Today, Friday 18th March, a week since he disappeared, officers will be at the Marina speaking to visitors and residents in a bid to jog memories and trace other eye witnesses. We will also be at the Marina throughout the weekend during its open weekend event, hoping to find others who may know something about Josh.
If you can help, please contact us.
