Notice number one states that Meadow Lane Lock will be closed to allow work on the adjacent sluice, and as the water in the pound between it and Castle Lock will be lowered six inches so 'boaters cannot travel between the two locks', Keith Gudgin reveals.
This work will take from 29th February until 18th March to complete we are told.
Still no access
Notice number two on Monday informs us that the lock is still closed and there is no access along the waterway.
But then notice number three, later in the day then tells us that 'the pound is open for boating' though it still adds that it will be reduced six inches. Take your pick.
