THIEVES broke into the Canal & River Trust's maintenance boats at Atherstone last night (Wednesday) and stole all the equipment.
Delay ongoing work
Mick Fitzgibbons who told us of the break-in, expects that this will delay the ongoing work on the Coventry Canal flight.
Scheduled for opening in mid December in time for the holiday cruises, this could have a serious effect on the work, with all the equipment stolen, and most likely delay the reopening of the flight.
