Proper lock-keepers

I am reading Peter Ponting's article about price increases whilst sat in the (intermittent) sunshine on the Upper Thames, writes Roger Olver.

Arriving on Environment Agency waters a few days ago and having 'proper' lock-keepers is an absolute joy. Then to fill up with water from a dedicated hose reel with a large bore and pressure to match is a refreshing change from CaRT facilities where it can take over an hour to fill our modest tank.

Two for £18

I have just purchased 2 x pump out cards for £18 (which apparently have just increased in price) from one of the aforementioned lockies

On CaRT waters that would have cost me £32.70, that is one hell of a difference, unwanted free showers or not!
