Pump-out and shower

IT APPEARS that pump-out cards issued by Canal & River Trust, have risen by 11.5% this year to £16.35. However it now offers all pump out card holders a free shower at participating stations, writes Peter Ponting.

Having seen quite a number of the shower facilities on offer, I must comment that the pump-out facilities are cleaner and more modern.

Beyond inflation

Also, having just paid nearly £900 on an annual licence to use the canals and its facilities, I would like to know why the price has risen way beyond the rate of inflation?

Are the boating community, once again having to pay for the failings of a charity out of control?
