THE man that police forces throughout the country want to speak to in regard to narrowboat burglaries (Search for narrowboat thief) has at last been apprehended.

Allan Campbell, of no fixed abode, was arrested earlier this week in Lincolnshire after an incident of disorder, Dave Spinks tells us.

Charged

He was then transferred to Salisbury where he has been charged with five counts of burglary from narrowboats. Further enquiries are on-going concerning other incidents.

He appeared at Salisbury Magistrates Court this morning, and boaters will be pleased to hear he was remanded in custody to next appear at Swindon Crown Court on 27th September.  Other police forces also want to interview him.
