Man charged with break-ins

A MAN has been charged with burglary over the break-ins of the narrowboats moored on the Oxford Canal as reported in narrowboatworld.

We reported that altogether nine boats had been broken into between Christmas and the New Year with items stolen and/or interiors wrecked, it reaching worrying proportions, Alan Tilbury relates.

Yarnton and Thrupp

A 59 years old man of no fixed abode has now been charged with burglary from narrowboats in the Yarnton and Thrupp areas of the waterway.

He has been remanded in custody, and will appear at Banbury Magistrates' Court on 11th.
