Getting too close

A CAPITAL Radio newsreader was really too close to her job when she was reporting on the weather affecting the waterways—she fell in!

Laura Safe, was by the Mailbox in Birmingham when she lost her footing, fell down the steps and into the Worcester & Birmingham Canal, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Pulled out

Laura, who works for the Capital FM Breakfast Show, was pulled out of the icy water by a man who who passing at the time, he having to lay down to be able to reach her, as she was mostly submerged.

It seems she was rather too busy with her mobile phone at the time, and not looking where she was treading.
