MANY people were unlucky when they attempted to access narrowboatworld this morning (Wednesday) for though the front page loaded, no others would.
It was around 6am when the first email reporting the outage was logged, soon followed by literally dozens of others, but luckily our programmer Jason was one of them and by late morning the site was again up and running.
First time
This is the first time in the 12 years of its existence that such an outage has occurred, and though it was put right, there is no certainty what caused it.
It does seem strange, as we don't use the Microsoft operating system, that is so targeted by viruses, etc., but the much more reliable Linux.
