New detailed G&S map

Published: Thursday, 02 August 2012

A NEW detailed and illustrated map of the Gloucester & Sharpness Canal has been published giving information about the towpath in addition to the waterway.

The Gloucester & Sharpness Canal Navigation and Towpath Map shows details not usually covered by such as Nicholson's, as it gives more comprehensive boating information, including details of both visitor and long term moorings, as well as actual street maps.

Gloucester and Sharpness docks

It gives particular emphasis to both Gloucester and Sharpness docks, with historical and up-to-date information. It includes sections showing parts of the Severn with the best viewing locations for wildlife and the Severn Bore.

It is a sheet map, double-sided measuring 500 x 624mm, that fold down to 250 x 126mm. It contains four full-colour map segments, 59 full-colour photographs and six historical illustrations.

It was published last month, July 2012, by Darien-Jones Publishing.
