Sanitary station wrecked

THE sanitary station at the junction with Nottingham Canal and the Trent is now closed.

During yesterday evening (Sunday) the sanitary station, situated at Meadow Lane Lock was broken into and wrecked by vandals, with metal items stolen, most likely to be sold as scrap.

This means that it is closed until further notice, with no intimation when it can be repaired and reopened.
