Lapworth pub re-opens

THE Navigation at Lapworth on the Northern Grand Union Canal has been taken over and will soon be open once again.

It was last October that it closed, much to the distress of boaters, but it has now been taken over by Alex Ainley after a full refurbishment who tells us it will be  'fully up and running' soon, adding:

Country pub feel

"We've kept the traditional country pub feel with the slate stone flooring in the main bar and wooden floor boards in the Snug and the Restaurant. There is a range of lagers, ciders and bitter on the bar and traditional cask ales including Lapworth Gold and the only Guinness on hand-pull in the country (that we're aware of)."
