More Chesterfield opens

A FURTHER section of the Chesterfield Canal, in Staveley, has been restored, and in use for boat trips.

The boat trips went down to Mill Green where the passengers could view 200 metres of restored canal that had been opened two days earlier.

This is part of a link that will see the canal extended through to the new Staveley Town Basin by the end of the year.
