Ouse again

IT ALL seems to be happening in the Ouse in York, with this time a happy ending with a baby being saved from drowning.
David Atkinson heard a woman's screams then saw a pram containing a baby rolling towards the river down the bank, then saw it enter the water, Alan Tilbury tells us.
Four moths old
There was another man on the scene, then he immediately jumped in with the two men pulling the pram together with the four months old baby girl from the water and onto the bank.
The woman had stopped to fasten the coat of her other child when the pram started down the bank into the river.
The baby was actually submerged in the water, but the two managed to get her out and pass the wet bundle to its mother.
