Emails: Transfer Basingstoke

Reading your article 'Killing the Basingstoke', I would have thought it would make very good sense to transfer responsibility for the entire Basingstoke Canal to the new waterways charity!

The current arrangement clearly isn't working, with large parts of the canal closed to navigation for years at a time.

As it is connected to the main network, I don't see the logic in having it controlled by a different body...
