Money for rowing club

THE Waterways Trust has given a grant—its second—to a Thames rowing club.

The Goring Gap Boat Club has received a grant that has enabled it to buy the cover for a new gig, a launching trolley, a boat trailer and seven new life jackets.

First grant

The first grant allowed the club to start its family and touring section with the purchase of a gig to add to its fleet at Pangbourne.

The purpose of the grants is to allow 'greater access to the river for a wider spectrum of the community'.

The Waterways Trust is part of British Waterways.
