Waterways Ireland at the show

WATERWAY Ireland is exhibiting at Birmingham's Boat & Caravan Show for the first time.

It hopes to get people interested in holiday makers using the Irish waterways, and believes the stand at the event will enable prospective hire boaters to learn about the navigable rivers and canals of the country's inland waterways network, Alan Tilbury tells us.

Short break destination

The reduced cost in airlines fares and the location of regional and international airports makes Ireland's inland waterways a weekend and short break boating destination.

Waterways Ireland has recently completed the restoration of the main line of the Royal Canal, (pictured) and there is the opportunity to  cruise the loop of the Grand and Royal Canals, and the Shannon Navigation.

Waterways Ireland is at Stand 1235 at the Boat & Caravan Show Hall 1, NEC, Birmingham.
