POLICE are searching the Regent's Canal for the weapon it is believed was used in a double murder.

Jordan Jackson and Leyla Djemal-Northcott, both in their early 20's were shot at their flat in Upper Norwood in 2006, with no one caught, but evidence has come to light that the weapon used may be in the waterway, so a specialist diving team are now searching the canal.

Managed to escape

Masked men shot the couple, though a twin brother managed to escape
Mr Jordan's twin brother Kieran was also shot, but was lucky to survive the attack, with the police believing the brothers were the target with the girl being shot as she was there.
