Gunthorpe Lock closed

GUNTHORPE Lock on the Trent is closed owing to a failure with the electrics.

British Waterways engineers are there today, and are trying to fix the problem as soon as they can we are told, but until the situation is resolved, the lock is out of action.

Boaters are asked not to travel through the navigation until further notice.
