Right man for the job

THE new administration has at least appointed the right man for the job as Waterways Minister—Vice president of the Kennet & Avon Trust, Richard Benyon.
With some very suspect ministers in the past, such as the fairly useless Barry Gardiner, it seems this administration has the right idea.
Richard served as a Shadow Minister for the Environment, Fisheries and Wildlife. Prior to this appointment he was a Party Whip. He has also served on the Home Affairs Select Committee.
He is a riparian landowner and farmer by the Kennet, has served in the forces and is well known as the founder of the charity Help for Heroes.
