DONCASTER LOCK on the Sheffield & South Yorkshire Navigation lock was closed yesterday, Thursday.
This owing to a fault, Keith Gudgin reports.
Contractors attended this morning but have not been able to resolve the issue, so the navigation is still closed,.
The trust is awaiting further information from its team for further information concerning the fault.
Then will perhaps be able to give notice of when the repair can be undertaken and the navigation reopened.

Ashton Canal
Ashton Canal is also suffering a problem.
This time due to erosion of the by-wash at Lock 10, which has made the lock inoperable, resulting in locks 3 to 18 being closed to navigation.
Engineers, we are told, have attended the site and are currently developing a method of repair.
Kennet & Avon Canal
Another closure yesterday, Thursday, was the Sheffield Swingbridge 19.
This was due to the all too usual damage to a vehicle impact that has made the swing bridge unusable.
But the trust's operations team are on site to make it safe then its engineers will assess damage tomorrow, Friday.
